This 1924 European Revival house in Grimbergen is undergoing a complete interior transformation together with a significant ground-floor extension designed to support contemporary living while honouring the home’s original character.

The new rear extension dramatically expands the footprint, replacing the former series of small rooms with a generous open-plan living, dining and kitchen space, enhanced by a dedicated pantry/dirty kitchen, a new laundry room, and an enlarged, internally connected garage.
The reconfigured layout also introduces a TV room, a home office, and a more coherent entrance hall, bringing clarity and structure to the circulation of the ground floor.

Upstairs, the first floor is reorganised to create a new master suite with an en-suite bathroom and dressing room, while improving the arrangement of the remaining bedrooms and bathrooms.

Overall, the project blends reinstatement with renewal — preserving original architectural features while using the new extension to deliver the space, comfort and functionality needed for modern life.
