This ground-floor pied-à-terre in Fitzrovia was designed for a Brazilian–French couple seeking a calm, contemporary interior with better light and clearer spatial organisation.

The architectural approach draws subtly from Oscar Niemeyer, expressed through curved internal walls that soften transitions and create a more fluid circulation. The reconfigured plan forms a coherent open-plan living, dining and kitchen area, improving functionality within a compact footprint.

Material choices emphasise longevity and tactility — natural stone, textured plaster, hardwood elements and woven details. Built-in storage, acoustic improvements, a guest WC and a fully reworked en-suite bedroom complete the layout.

The result is a refined, understated apartment that balances function, material integrity and a quietly modern character, while subtly reflecting the clients’ Brazilian heritage.
